Some dogs leave a lasting impression.
For Danny & Ron's Rescue, that dog is Tonto.
Years ago, Tonto was rescued from the euthanasia list at Miami-Dade Animal Services. After spending much of his life as a barn dog, he eventually became what every senior rescue deserves to be, a beloved house dog who slept in a warm bed every night.
As Tonto approached his sixteenth birthday, however, age began to catch up with him.
According to Ron Danta, he became increasingly uncomfortable moving around the house. They noticed episodes where he would tremble, shake, and retreat under beds or into corners. Over time, they sought help from multiple veterinarians, tried different joint supplements, injections, and anti-inflammatory medications, but continued searching for something that would better support his comfort and mobility.
That search eventually led them to Summit Animal Health's Joint & Mobility Liquid.
Within about two and a half to three weeks of adding the product to Tonto's routine, Danny & Ron's Rescue says they began noticing encouraging changes.
Instead of struggling to get around, Tonto was jumping onto the bed again. He wanted to play ball. He ran through the house with renewed enthusiasm.
As Ron Danta describes it:
"Tonto was a new dog. He jumps on the bed. He likes to play ball. He runs through the house. He stopped doing all the hiding, the shaking, the trembling."
For Danny & Ron's Rescue, Tonto's experience was meaningful enough that they began using Joint & Mobility with many of the senior and mobility-challenged dogs in their care.
A Second Chance, Every Day
Tonto's story is a reminder that growing older doesn't mean giving up the activities dogs love. While every dog is different and individual experiences vary, supporting healthy joints and mobility can help dogs stay active and comfortable through every stage of life.
