Hope Thompson
My vet said she’s as sound and fluid as he’s ever seen her. I knew this was a product that I needed in the barn and I dang sure wanted to keep my horses on it

Hope Thompson is a decorated breakaway and team roping champion from Abilene, Texas. She first made her mark in 2008, winning the College National Finals Rodeo in breakaway roping. In 2013, she captured her first WPRA World Title in Breakaway Roping, narrowly edging out her competition for the win.

She went on to become a three-time WPRA World Champion Team Roper, collecting titles in 2017, 2020, and 2022 alongside partner Whitney DeSalvo. Their dominance included sweeping major all-female ropings across the country and setting the standard for the discipline. Hope also made history in 2020 as one of the first breakaway ropers to compete at the Wrangler National Finals Breakaway Roping (NFBR), where she finished in the Top 5 aboard her standout mare Ink.

Internationally respected for her skill and mentorship, Hope travels extensively giving roping clinics with fellow Hall of Famer Lari Dee Guy, teaching and inspiring the next generation of ropers. Her competitive record includes wins at major events such as the BFI All-Girls Roping, as well as multiple ProRodeo top-three finishes.

Hope relies on Summit Animal Health’s Joint & Mobility for Horses to keep her horses moving freely, maintaining soundness and fluidity through demanding rodeo schedules.
