McLain Ward
We've seen a great improvement in our horse’s movement and elasticity! They move so much better.

McLain Ward is one of the most decorated riders in international show jumping. He began riding as a child under the guidance of his parents, both horse professionals, and by age 14 he became the youngest rider ever to win the United States Equestrian Team Medal Finals.

Ward has built a career at the very top of the sport for more than three decades. He is a five-time Olympic medalist, winning Team Gold in Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008, and Team Silver in Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020, and Paris 2024. He also helped the United States secure Team Silver at the 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games in Aachen, and he won Individual Gold at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto. In 2017, he captured the Longines FEI World Cup Final in Omaha with HH Azur, the same mare with whom he later became World No. 1.

Beyond his international titles, Ward has claimed countless Grand Prix victories at the world’s biggest shows, including Wellington, Spruce Meadows, and Aachen. He was inducted into the Show Jumping Hall of Fame in recognition of his career achievements and contributions to the sport.

Today, McLain operates Castle Hill Farm in New York and Florida with his family while continuing to compete at the highest level. As one of America’s most accomplished equestrian athletes, he relies on Summit Animal Health’s premium equine supplements and products to keep his horses healthy, elastic, and ready to perform.
