Amberley Snyder is a professional barrel racer, motivational keynote speaker, and author, admired worldwide for her resilience and determination.

In January 2010, at just 19 years old, Amberley was involved in a car accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down with a T12 spinal cord injury. Only four months later, she was back in the saddle, and within 18 months she returned to competition, using a specially modified saddle with a seatbelt.

Her comeback quickly captured the rodeo world’s attention. In 2015, she was voted the fan exemption contestant at RFD-TV’s The American, where she competed against the top barrel racers in the world and received a standing ovation from over 40,000 fans at AT&T Stadium. She went on to earn her WPRA card in 2016 and secured a Top 5 finish in the Rocky Mountain Pro Rodeo Association standings.

Amberley’s story has reached millions beyond the arena. She was featured on the Today Show, and in 2019 her life was portrayed in the Netflix biopic Walk. Ride. Rodeo., where she performed all her own post-accident riding scenes. She has also appeared on Paramount’s Yellowstone and in the 2020 Rose Bowl Parade.

Alongside competition, Amberley has pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education and a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Utah State University. Today, she is one of the most sought-after motivational speakers in western sports, sharing her message of perseverance with schools, sports teams, and corporations nationwide. Her popular “Wheelchair Wednesday” series continues to inspire hundreds of thousands of fans on social media.
